Obrenovac kao opština pripada gradu Beogradu od koga je udaljena 29 kilometara i u njemu živi oko 71 000 stanovnika. Nalazi se u središnjem delu donjokolubarskog basena u dolinama reka Kolubare i Tamnave, na istoku i jugu se graniči sa Šumadijom, na zapadu su ogranci Pocerine, a na severu reka Sava. Površina opštine je 410 km2 i obuhvata 23 mesne zajednice. Terenska ispitivanja zastupljenosti ambrozije na teritoriji Obrenovca obavljena su u periodu od jula do oktobra 2009. godine. Površina koja je ispitivana je 410 km2. Lokacije zakorovljene ambrozijom su zabeležene pomoću GPS uređaja. Za određivanje zastupljenosti ambrozije je korišćena delimično izmenjena metoda po Braun-Blanque-u (1965). Prisutnost ambrozije u zavisnosti od vrste staništa (poljoprivredne površine, urbane zelene površine i ruderalna staništa) varira. Na uređenim zelenim površinama u urbanom delu grada i u centrima okolnih naselja ambrozija ne predstavlja značajan problem. Međutim, na poljoprivrednom zemljištu ambrozi...ja se nalazi na velikoj površini i u velikom broju. Različiti stepen prisutnosti ambrozije zavisi od načina korišćenja zemljišta, odnosno useva (pšenica, kukuruz i soja), vremena njihove setve, primene agrotehničkih i hemijskih mera. Na poljoprivrednim površinama ambrozija je najprisutnija na strništima sa 415 snimaka, što čini 92% zakorovljenih površina ambrozijom (531 ha). To govori o velikoj banci semena ambrozije u zemljištu gde su njive, oslobođene biljnog pokrivača posle žetve, sa visokim temperaturama i još uvek dovoljno vlažnim zemljištem, idealno mesto za ubrzano nicanje i rast ambrozije. .
Obrenovac Municipality is a part of the Belgrade City area some 29 km away from its inner parts and has a population of some 71,000. It is situated in the central Lower Kolubara Basin and the valleys of the Kolubara and Tamnava rivers, it borders on the Šumadija region to the east and south, on Mt. Pocerina to the west, and the Sava river to the north. The municipality has an area of 410 km2 that includes 23 local communes. Field research of the presence of common ragweed in the territory of Obrenovac was conducted from July through October 2009. All of the 410 km2 area was investigated. Sites with common ragweed were identified using a GPS device. A partially modified Braun-Blanquet (1965) method was used to determine common ragweed distribution. The presence of common ragweed in different habitats (agricultural area, urban greenery zones and ruderal habitats) was found to vary. The species poses no significant problem in cultivated greenery zones of the urban part of Obrenovac and ce...ntral parts of its suburban areas. However, common ragweed was found to grow at high density over a large area of agricultural fields. Different degrees of its presence depend on the type of soil utilization, i.e. crops grown in the fields (wheat, maize and soybean), their sowing time, agricultural practices and chemical substances applied. Regarding agricultural areas, stubbles were the most highly represented type of habitat with a total of 415 relieves, which is 92% of the overall area infested with common ragweed (531 ha). It is an indication of the size of its seed bank in soil accumulated after harvests, when fields are free of their plant cover, air temperature is still high and soil sufficiently moist, which provides perfect conditions for fast germination and growth of common ragweed plants. .
